Actually, t here are two valve in the heart, tricuspid valve and mitral valve. Mitral valve is a “inflow valve” or dual flap valve in the heart with a function to control the blood’s flow in our heart so there won’t be any backflow. Simply said, this is the part of the human heart that is responsible for the main pumping chamber of the heart.
As we know, the most common problem in human heart is malfunctioning. When this happened, the surgeon must do a surgery to help the person. It will involve mitral valve surgery and mitral valve repair. Come to worst, the patient must do a mitral valve replacement to save their life. For your information, about 92 % of the patients have their valved repaired instead of replaced.
